Foot Notes is a project created for writer Jess Campbell—a collection of short essays inspired by running routes and the memories tied to specific paths. The client envisioned a visual identity that reflected both the physical landscapes of these runs and the emotional journey they represent, seeking a balance between a strong sense of place and a feeling of motion and fluidity.
The final logo was designed to convey movement, echoing the transient nature of running and the fleeting, layered quality of memory. The colour palette draws from earthy, natural tones inspired by the Australian outdoors, grounding the brand in the environment where these stories were born.
